The cost of org-roam-db-sync

Today I had to run org-roam-db-sync

what annoys me is that org-roam opens the file as if interactively (meaning all the modes and hooks that I use get enabled… for example… generating latex previews…)

this is an process that can probably be improved significantly by loading the file in a simpler way. I guess that is where org-node really shines.

This is different to my experience. org-roam-with-file macro is used in the update process, which delays mode hooks, etc.

Mmm, i have to investigate then why the latex previous are created when the file is loaded. Maybe I put the hook where it should not be…
