How do I add new file (that was creatied in a different text editor) to org-roam db?

I want to add previously created files to org-roam (they were either created in a different app or in org).

I assume there should be a way to force org-roam to re-index files in the directory, but I can’t find it.
At the moment the issue is that once I add a file to org-roam directory I cant link/find/edit it.

Calling M-x org-roam-db-build-cache should make the notes show up.
