I use link hinting across my whole emacs system for nearly everything via the excellent ace-link package (based on avy). It certainly does work for org links and it did work for the V1 sidepane.
However, in V2, due to the strange magit-section org-roam buffer, links are not recognised as such across multiple windows for the underlined link style (only within the buffer) and not at all for the bold link style (for example the (TOP) links).
Will this change in the future? Does anybody use ace-link or link-hint? Is it posible to create a link style for the org-roam buffer links?
