Org-roam-dailies: New features

Judging by your description, this is a bug. If you moved your files to the daily subfolder inside Emacs (i.e. with dired), our hooks should have trigged, and all the links pointing to and from your dailies should have been modified.

I’ll run some tests tomorrow.

Thank you. I did move the file using dired in emacs. I just reproduced it with the very latest version (8401784).

I can help debug if need be, it you give me the name of the hook(s).

I’ll try reproducing it on my end first, and if I can’t, I’ll ping you. Thanks!

Yes, you are right @brab . I had not seen that some notes formerly in org-journal have a broken link with the transfer to the dailies folder. I was forced to use some org-roam-doctor … which I could do simply because it concerns some files.

It might be related, but I’ve found another similar bug. When I start a completion in a daily note (in a daily subfolder) using roam:, I get completion candidates, for instance foo. If I choose it, the link is fine until I saved and the link becomes an org link. At that point the link points to the current directory file:foo.org instead of the correct link file:../foo.org.

Should I file these issues on github? I don’t want to spam too much there…

I think the code is up for a big round of QA next week. I’m not sure exactly what is causing the problem, but it is concerning. I’m booked until Wednesday, but I’ll try to squeeze in a full review next week.

Sorry for the bother. In the meantime, as @bepolymathe suggested, feel free to use org-roam-doctor to resolve the links manually if you don’t have too many notes.
