New note with its name part of existing note

Hello

New to org-roam and love it so far!

A problem though: I have an existing note with the name “Block Diagram”. Now when I want to create a new note (with org-roam-find-file or org-roam-insert) with the name “Block”, autocompletion gets in the way. I cannot create that new note.

Is there a solution to this problem?

Setup is pure Emacs with ivy/swiper and company.

Hi Borealis, read the manual and hopefully you will find the solution:

How do I create a note whose title already matches one of the candidates?

Try C-M-j when you are using ivy.

Thanks! Works perfectly. I read the manual but obviously forgot about this one…

I created a org-roam note to not forget again :grimacing:
