I love the Org-Noter approach to taking notes. The only problem is that it locks me into using the Emacs PDF reader PDFView, which is very limited in my experience. The most difficult aspects being the lack of continuous scrolling (it jumps from one page to the next which makes reading quite jarring).
Is there a way to have an open PDF in an external app (I currently use Okular) and then jump to pages from within Emacs, in the same way that you can for Org-Noter? I don’t think such a solution currently exists, but I would be willing to program something myself, just trying to figure out if this is possible, or if someone has already created a solution that would work.
