I’m waiting until we tag Citar 1.0 (soon!) before more formally announcing this and submitting it to MELPA, but some of you might be interested:
It’s partly just a demo of the new note API we recently added, but I think it’s also useful.

Just FYI, we finally added support for user-customizable capture template variables, which was the primary missing feature.
So you can now do things like this:
"#+title: ${citar-citekey}"
